Dr. Tong, a neurologist and nationally recognized leader in all aspects of stroke management, was previously a Stanford professor specializing in stroke. Bringing to California Pacific advanced expertise in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adults with this devastating disease; Dr. Tong specializes in all aspects of stroke care, ranging from prevention to recovery. He is particularly expert at applying advanced diagnostic techniques and therapeutic treatments to his patients.

Clinical and Academic Excellence: Specialty training in cerebrovacular disease with over ten years experience. Elected Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), and member American Neurological Association (ANA).
Clinical Research: Current member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institutes of Neurological Disease and Stroke (NINDS) Clinical Trials Review Committee, and participant in dozens of clinical trials.
Leadership: Present chairperson of the American Stroke Association (ASA) Western States Affiliate Stroke (WSA) Task Force, and member of the ASA National Stroke Advisory Board.
Advocacy: Recipient of ASA Local Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award, and active Board Member of the ASA, and other local stroke organizations.
