Case Manager
Bob Osborne, R.N., Case Manager – A native of New Jersey, Bob has a Master’s degree in long-term-care case management from San Francisco State University and has a BA in English Literature from Rutgers University. Before switching careers to nursing in 1995, Bob worked for the cargo steamship company Maersk Line in their claims department becoming familiar with beaurocracy and marching through stone walls.
Since he entered nursing, Bob has achieved a high level of experience in hospice care, working as a case manager, patient-care coordinator, clinical supervisor, and finally Director of Patient Care Services for two hospice programs in San Francisco. While managing one program, the hospice services provider received a 100% satisfaction rate in patient satisfaction surveys.
“I still remember being told in nursing school that dementia is not something that is a normal part of aging, that dementia indicates that something is wrong and needs to be evaluated and treated,” says Bob. He is looking forward to working with this population, with newer diagnostic tools and treatments.
