    First toe-to-hand transplantation in the rhesus monkey in 1964 performed by Dr. Harry Buncke and Constance M. Buncke.

    First microvascular transplant in the world, Naval Hospital, Oakland 1969.

    First great toe-to-thumb transplant in the United States in 1972.

    First rat leg transplant in China, 1973.
