Kenneth D. Laxer, M.D.

Dr. Laxer has been involved in epilepsy research since the early 1970’s, playing an active role in the development of neuroimaging techniques for the evaluation of epilepsy, temporal lobe epilepsy treatment, and vagus nerve stimulation for seizure control. His primary areas of interest are epilepsy research and development, seeking new diagnostic and treatment options for uncontrollable seizures. Prior to joining California Pacific he taught and practiced at the University of California, San Francisco where he was Professor of Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery and the Director of the Northern California Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, developing and directing their Epilepsy Center. He was also the Director of the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology and Director of the Oregon Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Good Samaritan Hospital and Medial Center in Portland.

Dr. King-Stephens completed his fellowship in Epilepsy/EEG at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut after which he became the Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He specializes in neurological treatments for uncontrolled epilepsy and seizure disorders.


Peter B. Weber, M.D.

Special Interests: Surgical Treatments of Epilepsy

Dr. Weber specializes in neurological surgery for epilepsy, and other brain disorders. Using brain mapping with intracranial electrodes, Dr. Weber is able to record the brain's electrical activity to map brain function. Surgeries such as temporal lobe resections, hemispherectomies or tumor removal can be performed with minimal risk. Dr. Weber was director of the Surgical Epilepsy Program at the University of California before moving his practice to California Pacific.

Dr. McMullen is Board Certified in Clinical Neuropsychology with a special interest in epilepsy studies. Prior to joining the California Pacific Epilepsy Program Dr. McMullen was a Clinical Neuropsychologist at NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center in New York.
