California Pacific Medical Center is embarking on an ambitious plan to bring the next generation of health care to the residents of San Francisco and surrounding areas.
In part, this plan is spurred by the California law - SB 1953 - which requires all hospital inpatient facilities to meet stringent seismic standards no later than January 1, 2015. California Pacific Medical Center also sees this as an opportunity to create environments that better support the needs of patients, patients’ families, doctors and affiliated healthcare providers in the 21st Century.
To help us achieve this, we evaluated our options at each existing campus and developed a plan that would meet the state mandate, while serving important medical center and neighborhood needs such as:
- avoiding the disruption of critical medical services;
- creating the ideal patient/family experience in an efficient and functional work environment for physicians and staff;
- allowing for future growth to ensure that California Pacific continues to provide the highest quality of health care for future generations.
Learn more about why we need to Rebuild CPMC.
