    San Francisco’s 2015 Chinese New Year baby born at CPMC is a Girl!

    San Francisco, CA, February 19, 2015 - California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), a Sutter Health affiliate, announced that the first 2015 Chinese New Year baby, born at 6:11am at their California Campus, is a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce girl. The Chinese New Year baby and her parents are doing fine.

    Parents Si Fong Chen and Zhi Qiang Li are excited to learn that their newborn, Sisong Chen, was the 2015 Chinese New Year baby. This is the fourth child for the parents.

    “The baby and mother are doing well after the early morning delivery,” said Yuan-Da Fan, M.D., Chairman of CPMC’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology. “The family is honored to be recognized and is excited to have the new addition to their family. We wish them the best of health.”

    CPMC historically has delivered the majority of babies to families in San Francisco. In 2013 CPMC delivered 6,114 babies, 51 percent of those born in San Francisco.
