    Office Yoga 101 Workshop: Yoga to Relieve Repetitive Stress

    This workshop is for anyone interested in the mind-body connection, especially those with hand/neck/shoulder/back pain associated with repetitive stress issues common with daily activities at work or home. Learn to strengthen and prepare the body for the physical demands of everyday tasks, such as prolonged sitting or standing, driving, computer use, cooking, and cleaning; learn short "tune-up" exercises to incorporate throughout the day; develop breathing techniques to combat fatigue and positively affect the nervous system; build postural awareness to help reduce chronic tensions; explore better sleep strategies; and practice meditation.     Eve Fleishman is certified as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist in the Viniyoga tradition with Gary Kraftsow. She has over 1000 hours of training in body awareness and chronic health conditions and has been practicing yoga since 1999. Eve is also a professional singer and enjoys helping students explore the healing qualities of sound through movement. She is especially interested in using yoga as a tool for stress reduction. Eve teaches the Saturday yoga classes and is one of our substitute teachers.
