    Yoga for the Pelvic Floor with Susan McCormick

    Shedding a light on the structure, function/dysfunction and ongoing health of the pelvic floor is the focus of this yoga series for women hosted by the WHRC. Issues such as prolapse, incontinence and pelvic pain will be addressed. Through yoga and mindfulness, learn to identify, isolate, strengthen and relax the muscles that span the opening at the base of the pelvis. Increase your overall sense of physical and emotional well-being through the practice of yoga for the pelvic floor. Our instructor, Susan McCormick, was the lead teacher of a recent yoga and incontinence study at UCSF. The pilot for this study, using the same yoga curriculum, yielded a 70% improvement in incontinence symptoms. 2017 start dates: 6/28 (skip 7/5); 8/16; 9/27; 11/8 (skip 11/22). No drop-ins.
