    Speaker/Lecturer
    Nancy Yates Yoga and Arthritis
    California Pacific Medical Center

Nancy Yates has been teaching yoga for the past 19 years. She began practicing yoga 38 years ago after a back injury left her unable to walk for a year. She believes her work with seniors, teens, disabled communities, and those with chronic illness has accelerated her teaching abilities. Nancy is an observer who works from her inner voice, heart, and past experience of studying various yoga disciplines (Bikram, Iyengar, Ashtanga) with world-class master teachers. She approaches her teaching as a service that opened her experience of understanding that sensory awareness and the healing quality of breath is available to everyone.
